Students from grades I to X of Amrita Vidyalayam attended a Medical Camp on August 3rd and 4th. The camp was divided into two sessions.
The first session included an audio visual presentation highlighting personal hygiene where students took an oath to take responsibility to maintain their health by following hygiene guidelines. The second session involved ENT, weight and eye check-ups. Prescriptions were handed out to students who needed to consult a paediatrician for further evaluation.
The doctors also conducted separate interactive sessions for girls and boys from grades 7 to 10. The session involved open discussions on topics such as puberty, giving them guidance on hormone related changes, hygiene, nutrition, exercises and many other issues. Sensitive issues faced by the students were also discussed.
