Students from classes I to XII attended a workshop on “Prevention of Dengue and Malaria” on June 24, 2016 conducted by Mr. Thakre, Health Supervisor, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC). The NMMC has been conducting regular workshops all over Navi Mumbai, and is on a mission to completely eradicate dengue and malaria. In order to achieve this goal, apart from measures like cleaning of drains and covering of open drains, they are also approaching citizens and making them aware of their responsibilities. Students learnt about preventive measures that can be taken at home. They were advised not to store water for long periods of time, to inform the NMMC of any stagnant water in their surroundings and to use mosquito nets at night.
